So billionaires are back into the spotlight of media attention, but its not the usual taxation scrutiny.

Okay, maybe some of it is. When isn’t the pockets of billionaires filled with deep amounts of unpaid tax?

May 17th marked an interesting protest in the North American country that conducted the public’s disapproval of the governing system’s lenient legislation towards taxing the wealthier population.

It was the demographic of the protesting group that sparked public interest in this protest. The May 17th protest was organised by the ‘Patriotic Millionaires’, a non-partisan group of wealthy Americans that support the restructuring of the American tax system.

Some of the protests took place in front of Bezos’ home in Washington, although the irony of the protestors remains in subject. As the group grows in numbers, its interesting to consider the power they gain and how much more dynamic these protests will turn out to be.

For now, the group may be considered as a public goof, but the growing concerns of taxation even in millionaires perhaps will shape to be a strong force for change in America’s current billionaire wealth climate.

That’s where the question mark of Bezos’ Billions lies.
